Finally an update!!!

Wow! It has been a long long time since we had an update. Soooo sorry!! Our camera was broken, but THANKS to Poppa and Nana we have a new one....and it is SOOOOOOOO cool!! We can even take short video clips with audio, so stay tuned and we'll have some of those for you to see.

A lot has been happening around here. The girls are now 11 months old...can you believe it?! Kathryn has started saying "Da-Da" and Kimberly has started saying "Ma-Ma". Kathryn has started taking unassisted steps, and Kimberly looks like she wants to, but hasn't taken that first step yet. They are both crawling and getting into everything....and CLIMBING anything and everything they can. Kathryn is our dare devil...she will play with everything, climb anything and doesn't appear to be afraid of anything (which is why she is constantly falling and getting bruises). Kimberly is much more cautious...she sits back and watches Kathryn explore anything new and once she feels like its is safe, she's all over it.

Ok, well now on to the fun part...PICTURES!! The girls don't sit still for pictures anymore, so I only have action shots for you....and these just call for some captions. I hope you enjoy!

Mmmm....DOTS! But MOOOMMM, do we HAVE to wear the hats?!

You watched Lady and the Tramp share a noodle...now see Daddy and Kathryn sharing a French Fry!

Ready for a stroll on a cool, crisp morning.

Why can't I get a bite off of this thing?

Our future astronomer...already looking through a telescope.

Look Ma...I don't need my hands to carry things, even shoes!

"If you're happy and you know it clap your hands"

Ok...its safe to sleep, I have my paci...and one in each hand just in case.

Kathryn: "Hey, whats under here?"
Kimberly: "Hang on sister, I'm gonna get this thing rocking!"

The BIG kid!

Hey everyone!! We've uploaded some pictures, but just a warning it might be awhile before we upload anymore...our digital camera broke! ACK!

Anyway, things here are going good. The girls are crawling ALL over the place, walking around the furniture and starting to trust standing on their own. Its so amazing to watch them every day and see the new things they learn. They love to clap (especially at the dancing bears and when you sing 'If you're Happy and you know it') and they like to give "High 5!"

A couple of Fridays ago we went to the Edventure Museum in Downtown Columbia. Daddy's work had rented out the entire place so that employees and families could come for free. The girls were a little young to enjoy most of the museum, but they had fun playing in the toddlers area. Below you will see some pictures of "The Big Kid". This kid is 40 feet tall, and designed so that children can walk through him and see how the human body works (for example he has a beating heart). The museum was pretty cool, we can't wait to take the girls back when they get older.

A few weeks ago we went to Charlotte to hang out with some friends. You'll also see pictures of that below. You'll probably recognize Scott, Briana and Elijah. The new faces are Bill, Carrie and Caleb (who was only 3 months old at the time). These are all some of Mommy's friends from College. We had a blast hanging out and going swimming!

We hope all is well with you guys!! Take care!

Playroom

Wow, I'm on a roll this week, 3 posts in 2 days!! This time I wanted to show you guys the girls playroom. We still have some touch up painting to do and we have some things we're going to add later, but I thought you might like to see what it looks like now. We have a nice foam play mat in one corner and a reading corner. We even have a nice ceiling fan to match! Hope you enjoy!!

Oh...

Oh and I forgot to mention that both girls have mastered crawling! They are ALL over the place. They are also pulling themselves up and beginning to cruise around (you know...walk along holding on to things). They aren't very sturdy when trying to stand on their own, but sometimes they'll get so excited playing with a toy that they'll let go and stand there for a few seconds. But as soon as they realize they're not holding on, they fall down.

Anyway, sorry I forgot to mention that in the other post. Please go on and enjoy the photos now! :)
Hey everyone!! So sorry it has been so long between updates. It has been a busy few weeks. Jen had her surgery and is recovering quite nicely. It was a tricky few days after the surgery as she was not able to lift anything over 10 pounds....which is a bit complicated when you have 2 babies almost 20 pounds each! Thankfully we had lots of help come, and we had some fun along the way!!! We would like to say THANKS to Anna, Susan, Michelle, Diane, and Briana (and Elijah) for going out of their way to come and help out during this time!! We also had a visit from Sandy, Dennis and Mama. They all enjoyed playing with the girls, and John sure enjoyed getting some house projects done with his Dad's help.

Also, during this time John got to play in church for the first time in a LONG time! He had such a great time!! He got to play for Sunday Morning and Evening service. Everyone enjoyed ihs playing and so we hope he'll have many more opportunities. As you can see, the girls enjoyed his guitar almost as much as he does.

Below are a lot of random photos that we have taken since the last update. They're not in any order, but I hope you enjoy them.

We hope all is well with you! Take care!!

"Mommy I don't want to sit this close to sister, please let me get out!"
