Hey everyone!! Not a lot of time to post now, but just wanted to post a quick update. We are home from vacation now. We had a blast up until the day we were supposed to come home. Kimberly woke up Saturday morning and her arms/hands and feet/legs were a VERY dark purple (almost black). So after calling our on-call pediatrician we were on an adventure to find the closest Pediatric ER that took our insurance. So, we ended up in Newport, TN at the Baptist Hospital. However, by the time we got seen by someone in the ER she had returned to normal color and was acting like nothing was wrong. So, the ER doctor gave us 2 options, have her admitted and they could observe her for 24 hours, or go on home where we could see our normal doctor. After calling our doctor back we decided that since she appeared to be ok at that time that we would come on home so they could treat her here if necessary. We were just given strict instructions to watch her very closely in the car and over night. We now have an appointment with our doctor in about an hour, so we'll see what they say. Their best guess is that she quit breathing in the night and thus her arms/legs weren't getting any oxygen. However, unless they can see her in the midst of the situation there is no way to know 100% what went on. We watched her overnight and she didn't appear to have any breathing issues and this morning she was mostly ok, her arms and hands were just a dark, dark red, but nothing as alarming as yesterday morning. But the doctor wants to see her this morning anyway so that they can at least document the situation in case it were to happen again.
When we have some more time I will post some pictures from our vacation. We had a FANTASTIC time!!!
